A respectful, collaborative space for psychological counselling.
Well Rounded Psychology is an independent telehealth practice providing individual psychological counselling across Australia.
Meet Brenton Dick
Registered PsychologistI’m Brenton, the registered psychologist behind Well Rounded Psychology. Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked with adults, adolescents, children and families, supporting them through challenges at school, at work and in everyday life.
My work has included counselling, psychological assessment, consultation and practical support for people dealing with stress, anxiety, low mood, adjustment difficulties, relationship concerns, workplace pressures and significant life changes. I have worked with people at different points in their lives—from young people and families navigating school-related challenges, to adults managing employment changes, vocational goals, injury or return-to-work matters and other personal pressures.
I also undertake work that supports veterans and their families. This work has further informed my understanding of the impact that service, transition, stress, health concerns and changing roles can have on individuals and families.
I aim to offer a respectful, practical and non-judgmental space. Therapy is a place to make sense of what is happening, develop useful tools and support your capacity to respond to challenges in ways that are meaningful to you.
Brenton is currently based in Tamworth and has called the New England region home since 2011. Through Well Rounded Psychology, he welcomes people from Tamworth, the wider region and across Australia, with psychology appointments available by video.

Professional background
My professional experience spans school psychology, vocational education, employment services, vocational rehabilitation and workplace-focused support. Across these settings, I have worked with individuals, families, educators, employers and other professionals around psychological wellbeing, participation, adjustment and practical next steps.
This background has shaped a grounded approach to therapy. I understand that people’s mental health is often closely connected with the realities of work, family responsibilities, financial pressures, health, relationships, identity and life transitions.
Services are provided within my areas of competence. Before an appointment is arranged, we can discuss whether telehealth and the service may be suitable for your circumstances.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), Southern Cross University, 2009.
- Bachelor of Primary Education, Charles Sturt University, 2016.
My approach
My approach is collaborative, practical and tailored to the individual. Depending on your needs and goals, sessions may draw on established psychological approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-informed strategies and skills that support emotional regulation.
We will take time to understand your circumstances, what matters to you and what you would like to work on. The focus is on developing insight, strengthening your capacity to manage challenges and identifying practical steps that may help you move forward.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach. The pace and focus of therapy are considered together, with attention to what is realistic and relevant in your everyday life.
Privacy and confidentiality
Your privacy and confidentiality are treated with care and respect. Information shared in psychological services is handled in accordance with applicable professional, privacy and health-record obligations.
There are limited circumstances in which information may need to be disclosed or managed differently, such as where this is required or authorised by law, or where there are serious concerns about safety. These matters will be discussed as part of the consent and onboarding process before services begin.
Further information about how personal and health information is collected, used, stored and disclosed will be provided in the practice Privacy Policy and client consent information.

Well Rounded Psychology uses appropriate technology to support the delivery and administration of services.
