Accessibility and Communication Support

Well Rounded Psychology aims to provide a respectful, inclusive and accessible telehealth service. If you have a disability, communication preference, access requirement or other need that may affect how you participate in appointments, you are welcome to discuss this before or during your care.

Telehealth appointments

Appointments are provided by telehealth. Telehealth may be suitable for many people because it can reduce travel, allow you to attend from a familiar environment and offer flexibility around location.

However, telehealth may not suit every situation. If telehealth creates a barrier for you, please discuss this so that we can consider reasonable adjustments or whether another service may be more appropriate.

Communication preferences

You may let us know about communication preferences or needs that would help you participate in appointments. This may include preferences about how information is explained, the pace of conversation, written information, communication supports, sensory considerations, or involving a support person where appropriate and with your consent.

Reasonable adjustments

Where practicable, reasonable adjustments may be considered to support access to services. The options available will depend on your individual circumstances, the nature of the requested adjustment, and the clinical and practical requirements of telehealth care.

Support people

You may wish to have a support person involved in communication or attend part of an appointment. This can be discussed in advance or at the beginning of an appointment. Their involvement will be guided by your preferences, consent, privacy and clinical needs.

Website accessibility

This website is designed to be usable across common devices and browsers. If you experience difficulty accessing information on this website, please contact Well Rounded Psychology using the contact details provided on this website so that we can consider an alternative way to provide the information.

Feedback

Feedback about accessibility or communication support is welcome and may help improve the service over time.
