Complaints

Well Rounded Psychology welcomes feedback and takes concerns seriously. If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service, you are encouraged to raise the matter so that it can be understood and, where possible, addressed.

Raising a concern

If you feel comfortable doing so, you can raise a concern directly with Well Rounded Psychology. You may do this in writing using the contact details provided on this website, or discuss it during an appointment if that feels appropriate.

Please include enough information to help us understand the concern, such as what happened, when it occurred, and what outcome you would like to see.

Responding to complaints

Concerns will be considered respectfully and as promptly as reasonably possible. The response process may involve clarifying the issues raised, reviewing relevant information, discussing possible next steps, and providing a response where appropriate.

Some matters may require time to review carefully. If this is the case, you will be kept informed where practicable.

Support during the process

You may choose to have a support person assist you in raising a concern. If you would like someone else to communicate on your behalf, your consent may be required before personal information can be discussed.

External advice and complaints

As a registered psychologist, Brenton is accountable to the professional standards of the Psychology Board of Australia. If you have concerns about your care or professional conduct, you can seek independent advice from the relevant health complaints body. The practice can provide contact details on request, but you do not need to contact us first. In NSW, the Health Care Complaints Commission provides information about complaints concerning health services and practitioners. For other jurisdictions, Ahpra provides guidance on the appropriate pathway.

Privacy

Information provided in connection with a complaint will be handled respectfully and in accordance with applicable privacy, legal and professional obligations.
